Bill Rooney Studio is an award-winning boutique hospitality design firm with luxury hotel, restaurant, and high-end residential projects. The studio currently has an opening for a motivated, detail-oriented, and creative full-time Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. The designer will support design direction for all interior projects from concept through completion with a strong focus in FF&E sourcing, custom drawings, and selections process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, with strong communication skills, and able to work full-time and start immediately.

Knowledge and interest in:

  • Hotel design, interior design, furniture, fabrics, and finishes
  • Furnishing and accessorizing
  • 2D and 3D drawing and rendering, conceptual sketches

Responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing materials, creating FF&E specifications and drawing package
  • Coordinating samples, obtain pricing from vendors, prepare for client meetings
  • Help with organizing materials library
  • Assist with preparing presentations (ie. research inspiration images, drafting, edit images and renderings)
  • Participate and perform construction administration, site surveys, vendor coordination
  • Participate and coordinate with consultants, vendors, and client meetings
  • Work and collaborate with design team and principal

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters program in Interior Design
  • Minimum of 5 years hospitality design experience with an interior design firm
  • Extensive knowledge base of architectural materials, FF&E sources – domestic and international
  • Proactive and meet project deadlines, timelines, and client expectations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other 2D-3D software with excellent drafting skills
  • Proficiency in Office suite, InDesign, Photoshop and other Adobe programs
  • Proficiency in Spexx and/or similar software program
  • Hand-sketch, and excellent verbal and written presentation skills

Work authorization: United States (Required)
