Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Work with the firm’s management team and Technology team to identify trends and business opportunities relating to design technologies. Help develop strategies for improved project delivery and service.
- Act as the primary day-to-day technical resource for the Revit / AutoCAD / Design Software / Construction Administration software questions and troubleshooting.
- Assist with occasional model maintenance and clean-up in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Evaluate new Architecture and Design related software and technology.
- Work with IT Department in the maintenance and deployment of software, including but not limited to the Autodesk AEC Collection, Rhino, Sketchup, Enscape, Lumion, 3ds Max, V-ray, Dynamo, Revu, PlanGrid/Build.
- Collaborate with staff headquartered in Orange, CA, and those on hybrid schedules or satellite offices throughout the US.
- Ability to write AutoCAD LISP and Revit Dynamo and Python scripts a plus
Qualifications:
- High level of competency with current and past versions of AutoCAD and Revit.
- A predisposition and willingness to learn new software and technology.
- Must be able to articulate ideas well through both verbal and written communication.
- Must be comfortable presenting in and leading meetings with consultants, internal team
members, and partners.
- Must show the ability to quickly learn new techniques, problem-solve, and create workarounds when solutions do not exist.
- Experience with the Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM360).
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Build/PlanGrid, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, Navisworks, 3ds Max, V-Ray, and other 3D software
- Good understanding of the relationship between software, hardware, and infrastructure and how they affect software performance and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills, results-oriented.
- Ability to create software implementation plans, schedules, and protocols, in coordination with the Technology team.
- Experience in coordinating with software or hardware vendors and other outside consultants.
- Familiarity with AEC-related programming languages (LISP/VBA/ARX)
- Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, engineering, or a construction-related field is preferred,
not required.
