Director of Business Development

Position Summary The Director of Business Development plays a pertinent role in developing new client relationships and fostering existing ones (on a regional basis). He/she must be comfortable “on the stage” at networking events and presentations/meetings, as well as “behind the scenes” creating presentations, executing proposals and researching new opportunities. This individual must have impeccable communication and time management skills, be a confident negotiator and closer, and possess an in-depth understanding of luxury and hospitality.

Essential Functions • Ability to maintain and develop relationships with potential clients and relevant industry stakeholders • Research, strategize and pursue potential business deals • Coordinate and conduct presentations/meetings with prospective clients • Prepare custom proposal packages (i.e. scope, fee, design team, etc.) *Ability to read architectural plans is preferred • Conduct follow-up on pending proposals and with current clients • Negotiate and close new business deals • Update global CRM on a timely basis (i.e. client contacts, proposal status, lead tracking, etc.) • Strong understanding of brand identity, project portfolio and designers

Experience & Skills • Education: Bachelor’s Degree • Experience: 5+ years of experience in Business Development/Sales, preferably in the architectural/interior design arena • Skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, CRM (Salesforce)
